Valpolicella Classico 'Ripasso' DOC 2005 13.5% abv
The 'middle brother' between the basic Valpolicella Classico and single vineyard Superiore 'I Quadretti', the Ripasso takes a little of the character of both - the freshness and elegance of the former with more of the raisiny intensity of the latter. A very well tailored wine and equally well-priced given this level of complexity.
