This old vine Sardinian Cannonau (Grenache) is aged in large oak barrels, deep, spicy and smooth with lots of blackberries and mocha on the nose and the palate. Don't let the price tag fool you - many Sardinian wines are very well priced like this one, but it is a pretty serious tipple that is excellent with red meats and perfect with Italian sausage casserole.
