Polenta is a much-loved thing in Italy, but not very often seen in restaurants or shops in the UK. The Italians use polenta in a very similar way to we use mashed potato, with a hearty stew or some nice sausages. It's a tasty and healthier choice that it very easy to prepare, and we think you'll like it. Try it with rabbit casserole, or the classic Italian dish with salsiccia (sausages) and a thick tomato sauce.
Our rice and polenta come in vacuum-packed bags to preserve the goodness and quality of the product. We asked Signor Rapio, our producer, if he could supply them in slightly prettier hessien sacks, but he wasn't willing to compromise his product by even 1%. We guess that's got to be a good thing!
